Export All Avamar Groups Script
Hello All,
I have been looking for a process to export all Avamar groups from one grid and import them into another. I am aware of the following commands listed below, but this only exports/imports one group at a time. In the thread I linked at the bottom, someone mentioned a script that may have automated this for all groups. The problem is, this post is from several years back. Does anyone have a current solution to this? I am running Avamar 7.4.1-58. Thanks everyone!
mccli group export --name=group-name --file=filename.xml
mccli mcs import --file=filename.xml --target-domain=domain-to-import-to

I don't believe that the process for this task has really changed that much, so my guess is that the solution from the past will still work. You could possibly try reaching out to the person from the other discussion who posted.

I tried reaching out to the person that mentioned the scripting, I am assuming they are no longer with EMC. Does anyone else have any idea of what that script was?

I am not sure if I have a copy of that script or not - will not be able to verify that until later today or tomorrow.
If you used the specific e-mail in the discussion, it may not work anymore - but try searching for Thom's name in the current Outlook address book (his entry may have changed).

Were you able to get across to Thom? I am also trying to get a script for disabling a number of group backups on a set day and then enabling them on another day

I have not done this for sometime but the above cmds did work fine.
I believe Thom's script provided some automation around discovering the group names then looping through each but probably still relying on the above syntax's assuming he was using this approach.
I'd suggest using the above syntax with a single group to become familiar with it then decide from there whether to loop through a larger number of groups.
