Migration Process to move from one DataDomain to another
We have two DataDomains connected to our source Avamar Grid.
DataDomain1 and DataDomain2
currently all production backups within our Avamar Grid are pointing to DataDomain2.
My question: How can I migrate from DataDomain2 to DataDomain1?
I need to totally wipe DataDomain2 as a final outcome and have all backups ONLY continue on DataDomain1

If you're licensed for Data Domain replication, you can create a replication session from DataDomain2 and write to DataDomain1. You could replicate the backups from one to the other, then change the DNS names, such that DataDomain1 uses DataDomain2's DNS hostname.

Hey,
In the Data Domain Enterprise Manager for the Data Domain2, you can use the Data Domain replication feature to replicate the Avamar backup data from the Data Domain2 to Data Domain1. For detailed steps, you can refer to "Performing the migration of Avamar data" section of EMC Avamar and EMC Data Domain System Replacement Release 6.1 and 7.0 Technical Note on page 8 and 9.
