New License key required?
We are moving our DR Avamar grid to another location, this will mean a new IP address and a new hostname. Will we also need to get a new license key for this change?
1 Utility node and 3 Data nodes, plus it has a DD2500 defined in it for our VM's to be backed up too.
Thanks

Hello,
The Avamar license is based on the MAC address, as you will be using the same physical hardware a new license will not be needed.

Hey Brian,
If your hardware does not have to be replaced, you don't need to generate a new license. When to do the node replacement with disk transplant for utility node, new license must be reinstalled due to MAC addresses changed.
Hope this helps!
