Windows file server client backup exclude files by age

Question

Is it possible to use a client side flag or avtar flag (or other method) to configure and Avamar Win File System client backup to only backup files that are of a certain age? We are about to implement an archive solution that will archive all files older than 18 months and I have a new Avmamar node at a site that will be archived in the next few weeks.  Rather than backup the data that will soon be archived I thought if I could target only the files created or modified in the last 18 months I could save some space in the new node.

I don't think you have the option of excluding files older than certain age.

If you cannot implement archive before Avamar then you will end up retaining those backups for the duration of its retention, after which GC will clear them off.

Thanks.  I thought as much based on my research but wanted to check if anyone elese had foud a way to do this.  I will just run backups with a short retention until archiving has finished.
