Virtualization network cabling.
Hi,
We have new M1000E Blade servers and 2 PS6000 series Equllogic SAN, which we will be using Xenserver to bring them in track. I have 2x 5424 switches in data center. I would lik to know how will be the network connection with all these equipments? whats the best way to have maximum performance according to the best practice? I have non passthrough switch in the Enclosure.
Kindly provide me what configurations required in the switches to have better through put to clients and back. If possible if there are any diagram on the topic, i appreciate.
Best regards

I know that you'll be using XenServer; but the design principles described in this post highlights some of the things that you should do.

Specifically, enabling jumbo frames end-to-end.
Also, take a look at the solutions guide around Citrix Xenserver and EqualLogic arrays.

Next, there are a few whitepapers under the Citrix XenServer section that discuss Dell PG Engineering best practice with XenServer attached to EqualLogic arrays.
Furthermore, you can utilize the ESX Networking and Dell Blade guide to provide more context and details around design considerations around the M1000e chassis.
