Adding a Celerra to a CX4
Hello,
I have a CX4-480 connected to many hosts via FC, I would like to add a NAS (Celerra) to it to get other protocols.
Did anyone expirienced that with data in place, what can be the downtime, what are the prerequisites or errors
to avoid.

Hi,
I assume you mean a NEW Celerra gateway.
Prerequisites are a 4+1R5 group for the Celerra DART OS, FC ports and the zoning. There is no downtime required on the CX4.
Please consult with your local EMC technical contacts – they will be doing the install anyway since gateways are not customer installable.
I don’t undertand the data-in-place question
