Basic Celerra questions
Greetings from Detroit Michigan!
I just stated at a new job and one of the systems I have inherited is a Celerra. It appears to be composed of an NS-42G and a 1U standard server. It appears to be hanging off of a CX3-40 here.
My questions:
1) does this sound like a typical Celerra arrangement
2) is there any way to health check the Celerra
3) how does one manage the Celerra - it appears that the only way into the Celerra is via SSH - no web server of any sort (apache, tomcat, etc) is running.
4) there is a folder on the Celerra called /nas. It contains 4 dead links (invalid destination). Is this normal?
5) if need be, is there a way to reload the OS for the Celerra?
Thanks!
Ron Gage

Doesnt look normal – does it complain on login that NAS services arent running ?
Do commands like “server_df ALL” work ?
GUI is by pointing a browser to the same IP that you ssh in
If it doenst work – try a reboot
A gateway Celerra like your NS42G needs to be re-installed by an EMC or partner technician – that isn’t a customer procedure
