Checkpoints

Hi,

I'm trying to schedule a checkpoint to run daily at 4:30am. The documentation says that under the Schedules tab the Next Run field shows the runtime "based on the time zone set on the Control Station of the Celerra Network Server."

Our control station has the timezone set to GB-Eire but the checkpoints are being scheduled as EST.

How do I change this so that the checkpoints are scheduled according to our timezone?

Thanks,
Sheppie

dont worry - the scheduling will be done based on the ControlStation time since it is the CS that create the schedule.

I think what you mean is that the checkpoint name says EST - I think that depends on the data movers time zone - but if you look closely you'll see that the content itself was checkpoint'ed correctly

The content was checkpointed correctly, the problem was that the checkpoint ran at 9:30 am instead of 4:30 am.

Under checkpoints the checkpoint time shows as 04:30:11 EST.

I want to know how to get the schedule to work in GMT.

To answer my own question, rebooting the control station made it pick up the correct timezone and use GMT instead of EST.

sorry, I forgot to mention that typically Unix server (daemon) programs like the checkpoint scheduler wont pickup timezone changes until they are restarted.

    glad it works now
