Concerns while extending share size when quota is active.
What are the precautions to be taken before extending a CIFS share size, when any of the quota type is active on the share. Will this be requiring any remounting of share after extension to get the extended size .

There is no share extension.
Do you mean a filesystem extension?
Or do you mean a increase of the quota?
Anyway, both actions are online without any remounting.

I meant increasing the share size i.e, filesystem extension.

no issues, online procedure. If file system is part of replication, target file system will be extended as well.
