I'm trying to configure NDMP on Celerra and i have few question,
1.Shall i use AUX0 & AUX1 or only one of them can be used at a time ?
2.The backup only configured on the active DM , in case of failover it should be reconfigured with the secondary DM ?
3.We tried to connect the two ports AUX0 & AUX1 , only AUX0 were successfully connected which shows a blue light on celerra while AUX1 shows a green light and unable to login to the siwtch? any suggestion?
4.I'm trying to discover the DataDomain on Celerra with no luck , the zonning already in place?! server_devconfig server_2 -p -s -n does not show the DataDomain drives ?
1) You can definitely use two fabric if you have, it will load balance on the fabric - however, the total number of concurrent sessions will still remain the same per data mover
2) The standby data mover is only for data mover redundancy and typically it is a temporary solution to run the active data mover on standby - so most of the times, it is not needed to configure Backup devices while running on standby data mover. And the primary data mover is failed back or restored quickly. However, for any reason, if you have to run on the standby data mover, you have to connect the cables, zone them accordingly and configure the same.
3) You may also try resetting the switch port, if resetting the data mover AUX1 port does not help. Also, check the physical connectivity and if needed, reseat all cables end to end.
4) Check the Data Domain Physical Resources - under VTL, the Data Mover AUX port should be listed as the logged in as Initiator. If so, did you create the access group and assign the required Tape Drives to the group along with the initiator?
I have a NS-120. What if I don't have the server_config command... how can I reset the AUX0 port? I attached a fibre to a Cisco to config zoning to tape drives and do a NDMP backup of the Celerra. Yesterday when I connected the fibre and enabled the port at the MDS I had link. I was going to config the zoning today, but no link found on the port. I disabled/enebled the port at the MDS, but still no link, and was trying to reset the port at the Celerra, but no server_config command found for this:

1) if you have two fabric and want to load balance the traffice ..i dont' see why not.
2) yes, so you need to connect aux ports on standby datamover as well.
3) If you can't get aux1 to login, try forcing HBA to reset
server_sysconfig server_2 -p
.server_config server_2 -v "fcp portreset=2" (where 2 is your aux0 and 3 is aux1 port)
4) did you see Celerra login to Data Domain ok ? what tape drives are you emulating ?
