Control Station SNMP Trap for Login Events

Hi there. I've been digging around and can't seem to find any information relating to getting the control station to send SNMP traps based on login events.

I was wondering if it's possible to have the control station send an SNMP trap for the following events:

* Root Login

* Login attempt failed

thanks

Mike.

yep, so have I.

I followed the procedures in the Configuring EMC Celerra Events and Notifications but no success. The traps don't seem to get to the destination.

Hi,

this manual is mainly about the SNMP agent on the data mover.

If you want to generate traps about login event you need to use the control station SNMP daemon.

This one is a normal UCD-SNMP daemon - you can find information on configuring that in the included manuals or google.

Newer versions of the Celerra OS use the standard Linux auditing framework - see the Auditing in the VNX control station manual
