How to view template configuration ?
We just added more storage to our NS80 and i would like to go ahead and bring it online. I have one template "User_Defined" , how do i view its properties ? I want to make sure that when i run "setup_clariion2 setup APMXXXXXX" it will configure raid groups + HS the way i want it. (6+1R5 + HS)
Thanks
Thanks

in setup_clariion speak User_Defined just means that you arent using array templates - it means that you are doing shelf-by-shelf configuration.
just run setup_clariion and it will tell you what's unconfigured and which raid layout options you have for each DAE. It wont configure a raidgroup before asking for confirmation and it never touches existing RGs/LUNs
I think it will only offer 6+1R5 for ATA or LCFC drives though

I'm not sure why you would use setup_clariion2 - it isnt supposed to be run directly
Or just go on Celerra Manager (Celerras > Storage > System > Configure) which will do the same thing

the fix is simple but requires editing a Linux config file so I dont want to post it here.
Just contact EMC Support and ask them to give you the instructions from Primus
emc176694 Why does setup_clariion -init on a NS20 give errors regarding subnet mask?

I guess your CFS14 runs a bit older DART - now for the FC enabled NS systems there were a couple of additional checks put into setup_clariion
