Limits on number of replication sessions

Question

We have 64 replication sessions configured between our 2 Celerras (Dart 5.5).

When I try to add another one I get an error so I appear to be hitting some sort of limit. The release notes for our version of Celerra state that 64 is the maximum tested value.

Does anyone know if this is just an arbitrary limit and is there a way to change it?

I'd imagine that moving to Dart 5.6 and replicator v2 would improve things but we aren't in a position to do that yet and I need to replicate some more filesystems.

We have a really fast link between the Celerras so that isn't an issue.

From all documents I have seen, 64 is the maximum configured replication sessions per DM/Blade for Replicator v1Replicator V2 is pushing this limit to 1024Sorry. Peter

You could try through your local contact to get an RPQ raised asking engineering to allow a temp. change for more replications

going to 5.6 and IP Replication V2 is a better option though

It puts a lot less load on the control station and the data movers, the management is a lot "snappier" and you get cascading plus one-to-many replications

We do use a migration procedure from RepV1 to RepV2 so that you dont have to do a full copy of the data again and dont have to reconfigure all sessions
