New Celerra NS-480 (CX4-480) install snag.

Our local EMC CE had a heck of a time getting this on our network. He would put the correct network settings in the SPA's GUI and then test it via his laptop and all was fine. We tested on our network and it would only talk to devices on that VLAN. That usually means your network settings were incorrect, but three of us checked them. We finally discovered the Cellerra's GUI was not updating the Linux O/S. Once we went to the O/S and made the changes it was able to connect to anything on our network.

Was a default gateway configured on the Network tab in Celerra Manager?

He should have used the Celerra Startup Assistent (CSA) to initially configure the box which makes it much simpler

just changing the SP adressed in NaviSphere isnt enough - they need to be updated on the Celerra using nas_storage

the CE probably tested with his laptop connected directly to the SP's - but in your case the client communation is going through the control station, which proxy-arp's for the SP IP's and funnels it to the SP's through the internal network.
