NFS permissions

We are trying to create and attach an NFS DATASTORE in our VM environment, this drive will be used for tools, ex. iso's, etc.

I have created the file system/mount and the NSF export.

I am able to add the NFS DATASTORE to our esxi cluster.

However, when trying to upload a file or create a new folder I get "this session does not have permissions"

The permissions for the NFS export are

drwxr-xr-x  5 root root 1024 Nov  4 07:58 Tools

[nasadmin@BCEC-NAS-120 slot_2]$ cd Tools

[nasadmin@BCEC-NAS-120 Tools]$ ll

total 8

drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 8192 Nov  4 07:56 lost+found

[nasadmin@BCEC-NAS-120 Tools]$

How do I allow my esxi cluster proper permissions?

Thank you in advance

On the NS/VNX you need to export the FS with "root" permissions to your ESX

There is a "root" option in the export properties of the FS
