Remove clar_r5_performance
Hello,
I just got my new NS20 and I would like to remove the clar_r5_performance
pool because I need to create various LUNs on this RAID Group and not only LUNs for the Celerra. Is there a procedure or details I should know before starting ?
Thank you
Patrick

Technically speaking you arent going to remove the clar_r5_performance pool
What you are going to make sure the LUNs are not longer used by the Celerra, remove the disks (dvols) from the Celerra config, unbind the LUNs, destroy the raidgroups and then start over
the pool itself isnt getting deleted - it will just become empty

Yes it is.
I had a ticket openened with support and they gave me the procedure to follow, I'll try it hopefully today.

Yes it is was I was told, and it is working well so far.
BTW do you know why was the RAID group 0 created with two LUNs (16 and 17) of 440GB instead of a 880GB single LUN ?

Its best practice for perfmance to create two LUNs per raidgroup and assign one to SPA and one to SPB so that we can harness the full performance of both Clariion storage processors

Everything worked fine, I created my two 100GB LUNs and use them now on the Celerra.
Thank you for your answers.
