Either use a temp CIFS server as a destination that you later rename – often the easiest way since it allows you to test the shares and the perms before doing the cutover
Or use the sharedup /FO option to write to a file, change the server names and input with /FI to the new server
Please, consider using Celerra Replicator for this. You would need to have the CIFS servers on a VDM, but save you a lot of time, and you don't need to worry about shares, permissions, etc...
The only limitation is that both file systems must have the same size.
Well, if you really want or need to go this way, we usually create a temporary CIFS server to be the destination. First run lgdup to copy your local group/users information, then run EMCOPY to copy the data ( or only the structures with no data ), then run the sharedup to copy the shares.
