Shrinking a File System
Experts,
We have Celerra Gateway with Clariion CX on the back end. We confgured diskgroups into disk pool and created file systems from diskpool. We have couple of file systems that are big, but only being used 20%. Unfortunately due to bandwidth limitation we're having problem with replication since it's block level and the whole file system is being copy (not just used space). My question is can we shrink these file systems? If so, can this be done on the fly?

Another thought - if you do have bandwidth problems take a look at products like SilverPeak that do TCP/IP optimization and compression
I also think the new replication in DART 5.6 will improve this and make replication faster
