I am running into an issue and can't quite figure it out. Let me lay the groundwork down on the system:
Celerra NS702G with a CX3-20 BE running DART 5.5
The file system the current iSCSI LUN is on is not using AVM or Virtual Provisioning. I was able to extend the file system, which was originally 1TB in size to 3TB successfully. I can see this in Celerra Manager and from the CLI.
However, when I go into the Celerra Manager and try to extend the iSCSI LUN, the file system size is not reflected. The FS only shows me 259MB available to extend with, not the additional 2TB that was added. I see the same information from the CLI when I do a server_iscsi server_2 -lun -info -all (There is only one iSCSI LUN on the array.)
My question is: Why is the new FS size not being reflected properly so that I can successfully extend the LUN?
Max Extension size is only reflects 256MB...which is why I am confused as it should be close to 2TB considering that is what I expanded the FS by.
Opening a support case is always my last resort. I like to cause myself hours of angst and frustration trying to solve issues first! (It is the best way to learn).
Yes, not the browser refresh but the Celerra Manager refresh. I see the same info from inside Celerra Manger as I do from the CLI.
Dynamox, yeah the FS is 3TB and I know the limit will be 2TB. I just wanted to expand the LUN to 2TB and if I need to add another one later I can use the same FS.
the only time i've seen this was when the file system was still expanding in the background, as soon as that task finished i saw the increased capacity and could increase my LUN size.
