Where can I get the FLR Toolkit?
I'm looking for the FLR Toolkit to download. Can anyone point me to it?
Thanks,
Eric Marzock

Hi Eric,
its currently not directly downloadable and in limited release.
you need to work with your local EMC contact - he can submit your usage details to engineering and request it there.

Thank you.
Just to properly set my expectations, is this a recommended solution? Fairly simple application... Customer just wants to move files from a r/w filesystem area to a WORM area. They are willing to do that part manually. But they need some way to manage retentions & permissions on the WORM filesystem, which is where the FLR Toolkit is needed.
Thanks,
Eric

sure - that will work - if its CIFS
the FLR toolkit contains both Windows CLI commands and reporting utilities
it also has a FLR Monitor service that can watch specific directories and put retention on new files in there
take a look at the FLR toolkit white paper on Powerlink
for NFS you can just simply use touch and chmod
Of course a special archive software can do much more than that
you could also use EMC Rainfinity FMA - that can move files and put a stub in the orginal location plus put a retention date on it
