Centera or Atmos CAS
Hi
Is there any method/SDK API by which it is possible to detect the connected server is Centera or Atmos CAS? I would like to programmatically find out the secondary storage is Centera or Atmos CAS.

There may by other ways but if you do a FPPool_GetPoolInfo it will return the revision of the Centera cluster. If its 4.x then its a Centera if its 5.x it's Atmos CAS

Is it guaranteed that Centera cluster will always return 4.x and Atmos CAS 5.x. Currently it migth work. Later when Centera Star goes to 5.x series there will be confusion.

While I can't guarentee it, it's likely CentraStar would jump to 6.x
Unforntunately there is no call to derive whether the cluster is a Centera or Atmos CAS, all you can do is try and figure out fro clues like this
