Vitaly,

are you working with EMC on this ? I suggest you open a service request with EMC and go from there. Upgrading Centera is usually done by EMC, not by the enduser !

No, the centera is out of warranty.
We are not an end customer.

We are the Authorized Service provider. We have the microcodes, the Procedure_Generator, etc. We've already upgraded microcodes many times before, but this time found the unresolvable problem.

How to know while the file couldn't be uploaded? Is there any log to see about?
Should I have the "safecapacity.tgz" file? or upload it manualy?

Hi Vitaly

If you are not an Authorized Service Network Partner you could still get EMC to do the upgrade on a time and material base.

Hi Vitaly

As ASN you should be able to open the SR and get help from EMC Customer Service. You might want to involve the Service Manager of the District up front to clarify the situation. Maybe he'll directly guide you to one of his CE's to dial in.

If the customer plans to replace his system sometime you always have a good reason for Customer Service to just get it done to keep the customer happy as he plans to buy new systems in the future.

I assume that you have access to the emcservice account...

On the node you are connecting CV to, remove /tmp/.serviceext

On the PC you're running CV from, disable any firewall services (like BlackIce)

Retry

Thanks Dennis!

It was a network problem. After connected directly to the centera, the upgrade has passed successefully.
