Kickstart didn't work

Hi,

I just kickstarted a brand new factory installed 4node centera.

I logged in via emcservice to node 4 thru eth 2 and issued FPkickstart -p 10.255

FPClusterNetLog showed following:

Sep 24 06:44:54 centera Clusternet: {info} Panel: [Net-Detect] [Listening...]

Sep 24 06:45:14 centera Clusternet: {info} Panel: [Net-detect] [2 switches found]

Than at this last line 06:46:48 it just stayed for more than an hour.

I tried logging in via CV to 10.255.1.4 but without success.

Any idea where I am at now?

On each node type “ FPv” to see what the CentraStar version is – all nodes must be the same….

Next while you are on each node run FPclusternetlog to see what it is saying.

It may be the case where the nodes need to be reinitialized and brought up again.

?? Sep 24

I was able to login to all of the nodes using the emcservice password 4.2.x.  I will login and issue the command.

Yes it is saying sep 24 which is also odd.  I didn't think it was a big deal at a time because my next step was to set cluster time.

However, I didn't get a chance to do that.

Does the reinit require EMC eng or is it a procedure a on site engineer can do?

In this state another step to try is to power cycle the system - all nodes and switches.

If not resolved then a person with the emcexpert credentials would be required locally to perform the corrective actions needed.
