Performance difference using a CUA/CAG to access Centera and without
Ok, bare with me if this starts to sound a little off-the-wall...
Currently, we access the content within the Centera through the CUA's (2 dell servers in an active/passive configuration). The imaging application that uses this has been upgraded to where this application can now directly access the images in the Centera without the use of the CUA's. We are not doing this in our production environment yet; we're actually just getting ready to test this in our development environment.
My question is this...
In terms of performance, is there a significant performance decrease or increase in doing this? For the administrator, it's a blessing, considering I wouldn't have to manage the CUA's at all! LOL

I'm not sure that I want to bare very much with you at this stage of our relationship! However, I am interested in learning a bit more about your imaging application and how it bypasses the CUA/CAG. How has your testing progressed since December?
We are a UK County Council and use ShARE which until now has stored document images in a database for retrieval. The images can now be separated and stored on our EMC NAS for archiving in due course to the Centera via CUA/CFA.
