using one centera pool with two or more documentum docbases
Is it possible to use a single centera pool with two different docbases? Appreciate any thoughts and feedback!

I am not sure what you mean by "docbases". Centera is accessed by one or more applications that are written using the Centera API to access the Centera. Centera does not care if you have multiple applications writing to the same pool so to answer your question, yes you can have multiple apps writing to the same pool.
Pools are accessed by profiles and profiles have granted rights to pools but can only write to it's home pool. By using pools, you can segregate the data between the applications for reporting purposes etc.
It would make sense to use different pools for different "docbases" but it is not required
