Auto-Tresspas when LUN is created
Hi There,
I've a extrange behavior when i create a new LUN par example on SPB, the LUN automatically starts the trasspasing to the another SP.
Normally i balance the LUN's to SPA and SPB but in my system all the LUN's except 1 are in SPA.
Always start the trasspas when a LUN is created.
I know that this behavior isn't normal but i don't know whay is the reasons.
Could you say me anything about this ?

Hi dynamox,
Yes, i can tresspass manually the LUN without problems, but i can't understand the reason why tresspas starts when i create the LUN.
Moreover, the LUN gets too long time to be bind.
It's extrange.

what kind of array and flare is it running ? Do you see any related errors/messages around the time you create these LUNs ? Do you select auto-assing when you create new LUN or you select specific SP as the owner ?

Also check to see if you are using VMWare - the failover policy of MRU will cause the LUNs to all end up on one SP if one of the SP's is rebooted or if you perform a code upgrade (NDU).
