AX100 dual controller model change to single controller perfomanace

AX100 dual controller model change to single controller without degrade the performance.

In case a dual controller AX100, failed one controller, the Array will have certain degrade. Is there any workaround (re-enable the cache memory in alive SP or disable the failed controller -- make it invisible from alive SP or something like that, I don't know) to make the alive controller to work as single controller AX100 without degrade the performance.

Is there any Release Note or White Paper will mentioned this work?
I just want know it does or not work, but need EMC support docs.

" You can not downgrade failed dual controller AX100 to healthy single controller AX100, so better "don't try it at home".
You can only upgrade AX100SC to AX100. "

May I refer your above messages to customer about their AX100 performance issue as EMC supporting document
Thanks

Basically if you have one failed storage processor, write cache is going to disable until you get the failed SP fixed which you are going to suffer a performance hit. Most folks don't notice the performance hit from light to medium load.
