Cabling status unknown on SPS

Hey all,

My SPS was working before sending it to my home office from my data center.  Now my SPS shows "Cabling status unknown" in Navi, and the warning (lower) light is on, on both SPS's.

Could it be bad line voltage? Or could my SPS's be bad?

How could i test this?

Dan

Yeah, definitly tried reseating the sense cables.  One of the SPS's started clicking which i assume meant it was testing the battery switchover. Sometimes it'll blink green, which i know means charging, and then go back to warning (lower light).

Both SPSs going bad at the same time..not very likely. Have you checked all the cabling, re-seat everything.

Hi,

Ii had the same problem in the past and it could be the following:

  1. your battery are dead now (could be that when you move your SPS from the data centre to your home office something happened).
  2. your SPS cable are faulty or not connected properly to the SPS.
  3. your voltage that you are connecting to is not strong enough to charge the SPS properly.

the best thing is to contact your maintenance support for testing the SPS or you can check which amber light is lighting at the back of your SPS. (try even to swap the SPS and see if it helps).
