Changing Master in the domain during DR.
Hi , I have Mirror View/A running between 2 , Cx4-480 ( across 2 datacentres) servers in primary datacenter are LIVE .presently the Cx4-480 at my primary site is master of domain .
We are planning to do a DR test wherein we will make the DWDM switch ports offline due to which there wont be any traffic on DWDM link and mirrors i guess would move to System fractured ,consistent state ( no communication between 2 SPs across datacenter ) and then i would promote the secondary images to make it primary at secondary DC ..
a .Do i need to change the master of my domain to my secondary Cx4-480 or will i be able to promote the secondary image without making any changes to the domain ??
b . Also when the DWDM link is down , will there be any impact to the Luns allocated to servers at primary site as i understand Luns should still be accessible by servers at primary site and hence no outage at primary site .. there will not be any replication traffic as no communication between SPs.
Any help on this would be much appreciated..

I had planned for Local only promote option and tested it without DWDM being down and its working .. One thing i came to know is that once during this DR test even i wont be able to ping ip address of 1 datacentre from other .. so no network connectivity between 2 DC .. for now i can easily acess server in 1 DC from other datcenter VPN which wont be the case during DR , do you think i would be fine and need not change my master in domain ??
Also once the secondary Consistency group is promoted to primary with local only promote , the CG will only contain new primary images (original secondary) as once DWDM is down Storage Processor cannot talk to each other , do i need to take the mirror out of Consistency group and then add secondary to it and then add the mirror group back to Consistency group , i mean how do i add secondary image to mirror group which is in consistency group ?

Lastly is there any customer viewable way to establish the current amount of data to be copied for an admin or system fractured MirrorView/A session when state of secondary image is consistent , either from Navisphere or Navicli commands ??
