I am planning to clone a LUN . Is it require database and application to be down during this cloning. Anybody have high level steps how to do clone a LUN.

RRR is correct about the crash-consistency. What DB/application will you be using? Have you looked into possibly using Replication Manager (RM) as a way of achieving application-consistent clones...?

2.Depending on your version of SnapView see documentation there
Home > Support > Technical Documentation and Advisories > Software ~ S ~ Documentation > SnapView > Maintenance/Administration, if you have FLARE revision newer then 22 you can read only in Navisphere help menu.
