CX4-120 service console
Hi all,
We need to make a PPP connection to a SP CX4-120 processor. It should be made thru the RJ45 peer service port or by micro DB9 service console connector?

I hope you're still out there.
On one of the steps it says to "On the next screen enter phone number and username and password (clariionand clariion!) and give it a name."
What's the phone number? How would I find that? We have been given a CX4 480 as a donation and I can't get in to the mgmt interface.

Keep it empty or type any numbers. It's fine.

Thank you. But, when I try to connect, I get Error 777: The connection attempt failed because the modem (or other connecting device) on the remote computer is out of order.
I have an old XP laptop connected to the service port with the EMC cable that has the small connector for the SP and the phone connector to the laptop.
This is actually a CX4- 480, but this post is as close as I could find to my issue.
