CX4-120c and CX3-10c performance comparison
Hi,
I have one unit of CX4-120c at our disaster recovery site that we use for our application testing and development and one unit of CX3-10c at our production site. Since the application is already fully developed we will have to cut over to production site. I would like to know is there a tool available that can be utilized to measure the performance difference between CX4-120c and CX3-10c.
I want to know the level of performance on CX4-120c that we're getting out of CX4 and what kind of performance degradation that we can expect by cutting over to CX3-10c. I would like to know the quantum of difference WITHOUT the use of Navisphere Analyzer.

Array based monitoring tools are the best option for monitoring array performance. I don't understand why you don't want to use array based monitoring. Your other options are host based monitoring tools like perfmon in Windows. You can monitor the disk counters to get an idea of the performance difference between the two arrays.
