CX400 Chassis Serial Number location

Does anyone know where cx400 chassis serial number is located?

Is it on the front somewhere?

Yes, some arrays begin with the prefix CK.... - it still should be on the upper, horizontal edge of the SP chassis - upper left hand side when looking from the back - the SP chassis is the one with the fibre channel cables and RJ45 connectors - the label is small.

From the back of the array, if you look at the upper left hand corner of the chassis that holds the SP's you should see a a small tag - the number that begins with "APM....." is the serial number of the array.

Thanks for the reply. I couldn't see any number starting with APM which I was expecting.
All I could see serial numbers of the p/s, SP etc. I opened the front cover but couldn't find it.

After running the powermt display command, I see the Clariion ID which starts with CK...
If I am not wrong, I think this is the serial number of the chassis. But I wanted to confirm by physical location of it.

If you have any host (server) running Navicli - you may use the command to get the serial number from CLARiiON -

navicli -h getagent

Look at the Node field - the Alphanumeric number after A- (for SPA) or B- (for SPB) is the serial number of the array.

Also, if you have access to Navisphere GUI - you can go the array property page and get the Serial Number of the array - which is the Chasis (TLA) serial number.

Thanks,
Sandip
