I'm going to replace a faulty SP modul in CX500...read the doc, just pull out-push in...do I need to configure it or should I take care to anything after?
I've replaced the SP modul, and as per SP Fault LED (amber led) it has run the BIOS (once/4 seconds — BIOS activity) then changed to POST (once/second — POST activity)...and stayed there since a day...on graphic interface the status of SP card says 'Unmanaged'...any advice? Thx in advance...
Thx for quick answer, the SP power LED is green, and all other LEDs (fiber, network) are also green...reboot means reboot for the complete storage? Do you mean this can be a network problem ('unmanaged')... but the fault LED is also not in a normal state...
SP Fault LED is Amber right? If yes and given what you mentioned in other post.
Can you attach HyperTerminal via the SP’s serial console port and press .
Either
Message should indicate a failed hardware component on the SP. If so, replace the SP.
OR
If no message is displayed reboot the SP with HyperTerminal attached and capture the boot messages. Extended POST will likely fail again and display a failure message.
