Data Coalescing
Hello,
I was going through performance documents and got stuck at data Coalescing.
If I understand currently, FLARE will coalesce small sequential write I/O or partially sequential I/O to make one 64kB element in cache and will re-calculate the parity and write both data and parity to disk.
Is the above understanding correct? How does data coalescing works in Clariion and VNX?
Thanks
Sushil

You are correct for the Writes that go to the disks. I've attached the VNX Best Practice guide that goes into this in more detail.
