Difference between Navisphere Workgroup / Departmental and Enterprise ?
Hi,
Could it be possible to give me a clue on the difference between Navisphere Workgroup / Departmental and Enterprise ?
This is because our budget is limited and we would like to purchase those we need. On the other hand, we are not able to find out the difference between these 3 options.
Moreover, my supervisor wonder whether it is necessary for us to purchase Navisphere Analyser (it is included in Enterprise Suite).
Your advice is sought

if there's one more host you have to upgrade to the enterprise edtition anyway.
Powerpath:
Workgroup: up to two sockets
Departmental: up to seven sockets
Enterprise: 8+ sockets
It good and important that the licensing is based on the sockets.

From other posting, I just learn that the difference between Navisphere is as follow:
Workgroup: up to 2 attached Hosts
Departmental: up to 7 attached Hosts
Enterprise: 8+ attached Hosts
There are 3 ESX Hosts + 4 Windows Server connected to the SAN, it seems that it is desirable for us to choose Enterprise Edition.
Moreover, for PowerPath for Windows, what is the difference between departemental and workgroup version ?

I would recommend Analyzer because without you do not have a tool to monitor the array performance. You should also setup a daily task that dumps out performance data so that you can analyze data over time. If you want script examples just do a search through the forums, there are a few in here.
