disk sanitization of storage
Many organization may have data security related requirement to sanitize disks before releasing / debonding the hardware. For example, for disks in desktops we can santize it using DBAN application. Is there tool to sanitize disk in Clariion arrays?

i am sure you can find a lot of tools on google, but if you have legal requirements then you can either purchase this service from EMC or if you don't need the drives ..shred them. There are companies that provide certified disk destruction, they charge per pound. They scan in every single drive and give you a legal document that all those drives have been properly disposed, typically cheaper than EMC service.

Thank Dynamox for such quick response! Hopefully this is a chargeable service from EMC. Is there any open source tool any where?

yeah, it will need a disk sanitization log like DBAN log.
