iSCSI, Mirrorview/A, Flare r26p10

I use Mirrorview/A to replicate a pile of LUNs - about 50 - on a pair of CX3-20Cs. I'm attempting to move from a IP routed FC replication scheme to iSCSI. I know this is possible - seems preferable, as a matter of fact - but in order to do so I need to use Flare 26.

The problem is that Flare26, patch 10 - which I show in Powerlink as the current release - has a problem with Mirrorview/A, and I can't use it.

Does anyone know of a workaround for this - or maybe even if there's been a new release of the flare since last November?

Wow, thanks. That's a definite wait. Appreciate the reply.

Hi Marineradmin,

If running MirrorView/Asynchronous the official advice is still NOT to upgrade to any version of Release 26 up to and including patch .010!

EMC engineering expects to have a patch to fix this problem available in Q1 2008. The only workaround at present is to destroy all Async mirrors, upgrade, and recreate the mirrors (incurring a full resynch). EMC advices to wait for the patch!

Please see EMC knowledgebase article emc176189 for further details.

I hope this helps
Carl

FLARE 26 patch 11 was released yesterday and the rolling reboots for MirrorView/Asynchronous can now be circumvented. Please see EMC KB article emc176189 for further information.

I hope this helps
