Lun Size
I am about to have a new DAE installed on a CX500 to allow some work to be done on 2 Windows Servers, both of which are database boxes (not sure what d/base? Oracle, SQL etc at this time).
I am trying to find if there is any "best practice" to say that databases work better when using larger LUNs or using smaller LUNs?
We took over administration of this CX500 and each DAE had been split into 3 raid groups and then into 100Gb Luns and presented to hosts via a MetaLun. We need to advise the client on our plan of installation for this new DAE so if anyone has any opinions/recommendations as to what is best practice for databases they would be gratefully received.
