Oracle does not need to support VMware, Oracle does support their DB/App servers running on VMware, see metalink article 249212.1
Oracle RAC is supported for 11.2.0.2 and above

Oracle does support if they have already resolved the issue early.. to use vmware is not my idea. decision was taken by management, cant help my self on this
I need help is all about clariion and storage. Lun creation
Oracle recommand only two ASM disk group
DATA for data
FRA for archive log
A starting point i have created RAID 1_0 with 4 disks, i am following above oracle recomendation currently.
since i am using Clariion cx4-120 (2 DAE). i am not sure will these could be enough for high IO form oracle.?
many litreture recomands to use diffrent disk group atleast for following tablespace
Undo (sequential IO)
Redolog (sequential IO)
Archive
My question if i create these diffrent lun on same RAID group (RAID 1_0 with 4 disks) will it help?. or it is just good as having two Lun (DATA FRA), since i have speed of only 4 disk, so using 2 lun is equal to to using 4 luns ?
