Problems to register WWN HP server into CX700

I have a problem to register the WWN the HP server Itanium into CX-700. I have stoped the agent, run ioscan -fnC disk and I have started the agent, but the WWN didn´t have registered into the CX-700. Why? What can I do? Thank you.

what this server build from cd or was it ignited from tape ? If you see WWN listed in connectivity status you can register them manually if you like. Take a look at Clariion procedure generator. it's here:

As the previous person stated, you can manually register the host within Navisphere.

Under connectivity status, if the host WWN appears and is "logged in", then you can at highlight the WWN and click register.

Assign the proper name, ip address, etc. and then you should be able to add the host to the appropriate Storage Group and assign your LUNs.

Not sure why the host isn't automatically registering. We sometimes have to reboot our hosts for them to register properly... .

I faced a similar problem. When we run ioscan fnC disk it scans system buses for new devices.. Now if the server is zoned to clariion it should show you some zombie LUNS marked as "LUNZ" this indicates that the zoning is done correctly.

Now do a insf -C disk. this will register you wwn with clariion.. It worked for me 5-6 times now..
Let me know if it works !!
