Register host in clariion
I am trying to understand the process to manually register a host in clariion.
I have registered multiple hosts but do not get the concept of why it requires the ip address of the host.
Do we have to update the host ip address in case it changes in the future.

The IP address is used when the unique HostID is created. I have seen manual host regitrations with bogus IP addresses. You don't have to change the manual registration if you change the ip address.

But we have to put something in there for it to accept the host name and WWN's association.
Thanks for your help.

If you want to use the Navisphere Host Agent/CLI, you can download from PowerLink - BUT you need to have registered the software first. Agent and CLI are included with each array.
Also, if you have questions about the Agent see Solution (Primus) emc254967 on PowerLink.
