Setting Fibre Speed in Navisphere

I'm attempting to connect a Clariion CX600 to a pair of 1gig SAN switches. However, I believe the Clariion ports are set to 2gig from the last installation. When I enter "Properties" for either SP and click the "Fibre Speed" tab Navisphere just hangs and never returns. Is there a way around this or a known fix?

Thanks, Mark.

maybe browser or java problem.. who knows. try naviseccli or navicli spportspeed. mind that changing the FC port speed is disruptive i.e. requires SP reboot

I've tried a couple different browser/java plugin versions with no difference. This unit originally came as part of a Celerra, thus no Navisphere CDs were included, sadly. Also, since I'm working with this right now under no support contract, I have no way of obtaining navicli.

I'm looking now to see if the cli was included on any of the NAS CDs.

if you connect the array ports to switch ports anyways, does the switch recognise the port (i.e. array falls back to 1GB?)

Kiran, auto-negotiation of FC link speed is not available on CX600.

Mark, have you tried ie6 or any firefox with java 1.4.2_xx?

I've tried 1.4.x and 1.6.x on both IE and Firefox. I did manage to dig up a copy of Navcli and set the port speeds to 1gig. I believe I'm all set now. Many thanks for all your replies. Now I just need to research the proper way of shutting one of these guys down.

Found navicli and set port speeds that way.
