Setting up CLARiiON CX500 from scratch

Hi,

I have been tasked to set up a CLARiiON CX500 from Ground up (Literally).
Connecting SPs, enclosures, UPS is not a problem. But I am concerned about is the default SP configuration. initial IP address, username and password and how to connect to the CLARiiON (console port). More the Fabric is CISCO MDS

I am used to having EMC set up my SAN environment (CX700 or DMX3K), but my employer pulled me to a new contract to setup a SAN environment from scratch. You might be asking yourself, how come EMC did not set it up, my answer is i have no idea.

Can you assist?

When EMC sells a new array to a customer, it normally includes installation and maintenance by a local customer engineer for a set period of time. 1 to 3 years. I would ask your employer who bought the array and/or contact your local EMC branch and inquire. Your job may turn out to be as easy as that.
The arrays are not meant to be initialized by customers. You do not have access to the latest code, nor to the latest caveats regarding the initialization.
