Tresspassed Luns

Question

In my CX 700 environment,one of my solaris host i am experiencing the tresspassed luns problem very frequently and also got messages in the /var/adm/message scsi i/o time out error and the target changed messages.

Althogh we have set the throttle value and as well as sd_io_time in the system file.
Faiover setting is also correct.

but still we are not able to figure out the root cause of the problem and the solution.

anyone have a soltion for this problem

are you running DMP or Powepath ?

does host have 2 hba's or one ? What's your failover mode set to ?

We have two HBA and initially failover mode was set to 2,we changed it to 1 but the problem still persist.

Have the EMC CE take SPCollects and run them in SPLAT utility. This will allow him to see the SP logs and determine if the SP itself is the problem. There is also a SP Qualifier tool they can use to see if the SP has issues.
