I 'll suggest you to open a Service Call to EMC support before replacing the drive. Typically Vault disk replacement is done only by EMC CE or authorized support person. The drive can be replaced but some guidelines needs to be followed.

Thanks,

For perform a disk replacement by yourself , you need to install the navisphere service task (NST) you can download it from powerlink .

When you lunch the NST you will point your array and select replace disk , NST will health check your array and will inform if. It is safe to replace the disk or you need to have a ce .

In any case you need to open a service request .
