Compellent Intial Configuration Howto
Dear All
I have received compellent SC40 boxes (two cotrollers, two SAS enclosures). I have mounted the equipment, have done the backend/frontend cabling. Now whats next, what should i do now???
Where as i understood from the documentation i need to download/install Enterprise Manager, i already have the license keys. Will the Enterprise Manager allow me to configure the boxes or i need to do some thing else.
Can you please give me the brief checklist/steps i need to perform for the configuration of compellent like below:
1) Unpack and Mount the Equipment
2) Front End/Backend Cabling
3) Get the License Keys
4) Download/Install Enterprise Manager
5) ?????
6) ???

Thanks. for your reply, i sent the mail to the co-pilot and he guided me with the same document you mentioned.

Usually, when purchasing a new Dell/Compellent array, installation services is included. So check with your account management team to see if those services were purchased along with the array. If not, the installation process is actually rather simple and is very well documented in the Storage Center 6.1 System Setup Guide document in the Compellent Knowledge Center.
