I have a SC 4020 with firmware 6.6.5 with a SC200 enclosure with 600GB SAS 6G, 15k, 3.5” HDD
Because the HDD is end of life, so i must buy some 600GB SAS 12G, 15k, 2.5” HDD (G6C6C) and put them in exist 3.5 cover of other disk. But the Storage can not recognize disk and notify that disk in "un-license" and down.
Can someone give me some insight as to what is happening here. My unit is licensed for way more drives than I have installed.
1. Your SCOS is not at a high enough level to recognize these disks. The SCOS does not recognize them so there is no assigned disk classification that your system can assign to them. Support can tell by looking at the disks via command line.
2. You did d not buy these disks from a Dell Partner, or through Dell. In which case these disks would not have the proper firmware to show them as an Enterprise Level disk.
I would recommend you call in to support and have them look at your disks via Secure Console. They will be able to tell you why the disks are not recognized.

Hello hieufibo,
The issue you are seeing is one of 2 things.
