SCv3020: 1 Controller shown as down via DSM/SNMP even its up
Dear all,
I already opened a Ticket to Support, but maybe someone else had some simular issue.
After reboot of both controllers (one by one) the System shows via DSM/SNMP one Controller as down even its up, but only if you connected to the physical IP Adress of one of the Controller, Example below: (SCOS = 7.2.11.4)
- Storage VIP IP = no Alarms (both Controllers are up and balanced)
- Top Controller IP = Alarm “The internal network for this Storage Center is currently unbalanced due to a failover” (TOP Controller shown as down and unbalanced) – that’s also the reason why snmp is reporting a Critical Message
- Botton Controller IP = no Alarms (both Controllers are up and balanced)
- Data Collector IP = no Alarms (both Controllers are up and balanced)
Thanks,
Christian

below the Examples for the wrong DSM and/or SNMP Outputs, even CompCU reports System as up, balanced and normal, it seems for me as a bug in Firmware or whatever (e.g: internal communication and status update between controllers)
SNMP for STORAGECENTER_OID via TOP CONTROLLER
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.11000.2000.500.1.2.29.1.3.1 = INTEGER: 1
SNMP for STORAGECENTER_OID via BOTTON CONTROLLER
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.11000.2000.500.1.2.29.1.3.1 = INTEGER: 3 (Status = degraded)
SNMP for CONTROLLER_OID via TOP CONTROLLER
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.11000.2000.500.1.2.13.1.3.1 = INTEGER: 1
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.11000.2000.500.1.2.13.1.3.2 = INTEGER: 1
SNMP for CONTROLLER_OID via BOTTON CONTROLLER
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.11000.2000.500.1.2.13.1.3.1 = INTEGER: 1
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.11000.2000.500.1.2.13.1.3.2 = INTEGER: 2 (Status = down)

Are you showing any disk failures, or other alerts on your system? Is the Bottom Controller the lead controller currently?
