What is the Dell part# that is on the drive? With a compellent system you need to use a compellent drive in order for it to be seen correctly. If you are only trying to match the drive by the manufacture model# then that drive in most cases will not work. When you tried to replace the disk did you follow the steps listed in this link? https://dell.to/3kOLOsz
I'm not sure if your issue is solved or not, try to source the drives under the Dell part number: 5H3XX. But make sure thay are having a Compellent firmware on them.
@DELL-Marco B At first I installed a Seagate hard Drive with the same part number and all other parameters were the same, but it showed the same error i.e in the "external devices" Then I bought a Dell hard drive but it showed the same error. as mentioned above.
Dear Team first time I istalled Seagate HDD with same parameter as existing one i.e "Part Number ST1800MM0129" all parameter were same but manifacturing was only Seagate. I faced same problem i.e HDD shows in External Devices then I bought Dell HDD with part number ST1800MM0159. picture mentioned below. again it shows in External devices.

Hello,
Since the same hard drive could be used in Compellent, EqualLogic and MD, you must Order it from Sales with Compellent firmware.
If you contacted Sales and told them you need Compellent and that is the drive you received then it should work in Compellent.
I would expect it to have a firmware sticker on it if it is Compellent:
